Here's a Feel Good Friday story we got from Jaime...
Good Morning!
I hope this email finds you all well.
I just had to share a "feel good" story of one of our very own Hillsborough County teachers…Mrs Margaret Drumsta, a science teacher at Plant High.
Our daughter lost her favorite stuffed animal-Monkey back in December. Our family has been searching for it for months as she expressed missing Monkey daily. I tried searching the internet more yesterday to see if I could buy a replacement but no findings! Then, I thought, although a massive long shot, it couldn't hurt to post a missing toy message on the Moms of South Tampa Facebook page. Then, yesterday afternoon, I received a message from Margaret that she had the monkey! I couldn't believe it! Truly felt like a dream! Margaret found it on the road months ago and thought that is important to a child out there. She posted finding Monkey in hopes of discovering the owner. She brought Monkey in her classroom and had him partake in their lessons and adventures (see pics attached).
Come to find out, Margaret herself had lost her precious stuffed animal when she was a little girl and never found it again. She said she knew how that hurt and was hoping to help another child not experience that! Amazing!
She then said she would personally return it to us and met us in a local parking lot and brought such happiness, excitement and complete surprise to not only my daughter, but our entire family! She modeled an example of truly treating others how you would want to be treated. Her act of kindness is something our family will never forget. She clearly is an angel and our school system is so blessed to have someone as caring and compassionate as Margaret Drumsta.
