Romans 11:33

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unsearchable his ways!

I need this reminder all the time! In this part of Romans Paul is telling the Jews that the Gentiles are going to be adopted by God too. I can imagine the Jewish communities reaction being very much like the people in the parable for the workers in the vineyard who worked all day and got paid the same as they guys who showed up just before quittin time. Paul also warns the Gentiles to not get all arrogant about being chosen too. I can safely say I have felt like both of these scenarios at different times in my life. So I must constantly be reminded that God's ways are not my ways. It's not up to me to decide who deserves God's grace. It is however up to me to share that grace with those around me.
