Paul's Letter to the Phillipians 4:9
Think about these things. From all the letters of Paul, this one in chapter 4 means so much to me for this weekend. In the aftermath of unfathomable tragedy of Las Vegas, I need to "dig deep" to think of how to reach the young ones who do not yet understand that the society we live in today. These days we are required to be vigilant and aware of what's happening around us all the time, but yet we hear in the scriptures time and time again we are not to fear, because being always afraid paralyzes us.
I recall these words and Paul's exhortation for us to not have anxiety but make our requests known to God, because peace comes from Him. When we unite in the love of Jesus Christ and as He taught us, forgive those around us who have hurt us, then we can be free to love and share God's peace with a hurting world.
