So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?'
or 'What are we to drink?'or 'What are we to wear?'
All these things the pagans seek.
Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness,

Tomorow will take care of itself. But wait, what are we going to eat, drink and wear? It is not easy for me to just let go of these things, and that may be because as a mom, it's often not just me. Righteousness includes a duty to the Divine, like the Ten Commandments, and moral law too. It is of a higher order or more important, than whether or not I have a new dress or if my children have new clothes for school. While those things, food and clothing, are essential to life as we know it, it is also a good time today to reflect on a higher order, the purpose and reason we are here under God and at this moment.
I take comfort in that the Heavenly Father who sees all and knows all, has what is best for us in store for us if only we but pay attention to more than just what we wear, eat, and drink.
