When two of my children were very young, I explained to them that there is a God who made everything around us, all the trees and the sun and wind and all of us. Then I let them outside and watched them as they looked up at into a large oak tree. They asked each other if they saw "Him". It was so cute to watch them look and squint their eyes from the sun. One said: "Look, there he is in the tree." and the other said "Oh I thought he was in the clouds".
We can all look at a beautiful sky or the pictures we have a space or even under the deep oceans and realize there is so much to learn and see. I hope we can spend some time today thinking about all the wonders of the earth and the beauty around us and thank God for each day that we have to enjoy it. Perhaps these are the things that are revealed to the little ones that we forget too often when we are too worried about what may happen, or too preoccupied with daily worries. let's try to think like a child again in prayer today and leave our troubles behind.
