When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.
Some of my best ideas come to me in my dreams. The problem is remembering the dream when I wake up so I can carry out those ideas. Luckily Joseph didn't have that problem too! But then again this dream was a little out of the ordinary so maybe it wasn't too hard to remember. This is one of two times that God speaks to Joseph through an angel in a dream. The second one is when he is told to flee to Egypt to save Jesus from Herod. Joseph did a good job following the instructions each time. As I read through this account again today I started wondering. Did God try to get through to Joseph some other way before sending an angel? Maybe Joseph was a little like me and had trouble reading the signs God was sending his way. How is God speaking to you today? Sometimes we just need to remember to listen!
