Simon and those who were with him pursued him
and on finding him said, "Everyone is looking for you."
He told them, "Let us go on to the nearby villages
that I may preach there also.
For this purpose have I come."

I was told that in Capernaum, there is a sign that says: Capernaum, the town of Jesus. So this was kind of like the headquarters of the ministry of Jesus after He was baptized, and the lake there offered a way for Jesus and his disciples to move around from village to village. This was the mission of Jesus, as He said the purpose for Him to be there. He and his disciples seet up to preach and teach, heal and restore wounded hearts, and to cure the sick. Jesus knew His mission and His followers were ready for their spiritual battles when they drove out demons.
All of this reminds me of when my sons were young and they would play with the little army men plastic figures. Oh the strategic games they played! I would find these little green men in the most surprising places around the house as the children placed them in different areas to be "ready for battle" if the game entered in that space. The Battle of This and the Battle of That were often played out, and now I wonder if they see now in their more grownup lives, the spiritual battles they face every day?
Let's pray for our youth, and especially our young adults, that they may seek the wsidom of God, through the life of Christ and with the Holy Spirit in every battle they come across.
