I have no problem distinguishing rosemary from basil, but my cilantro looks exactly like my parsley!

While everyone was asleep his enemy came
and sowed weeds all through the wheat, and then went off.
When the crop grew and bore fruit, the weeds appeared as well.

Matthew 13:25-26

I have no problem distinguishing rosemary from basil, but my cilantro looks exactly like my parsley!  I am not even sure which is which until I smell the leaves. The herbs I plant bring me much enjoyment and are healthy in my water and tea.  I imagine if weeds grew into my batch of herbs, I would not notice until I made some bitter concoction of a tea and I would most likely have a terrible reaction as much from the surprise of the taste, to the surprise of not tasting what I expected.

With this scripture verse, we read that the "enemy' snuck in and sowed those weeds that probably looked like the wheat much like my cilantro and parsley look similar to me. When we apply the message of the sowing of the weeds among the seed, we see that the good and the bad (those who oppose the love of God) are all among us.  It is difficult for us to distinguish.  Let us then, focus on shining forth the light, God's love, that we reflect from the true source of Light and Love, God Himself.
