Now I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not of human origin.
I should have this verse printed and plaster it everywhere! As a minister of the Gospel, which by the way you are also called to be, it should be my mantra to proclaim that none of what I preach is about me. Yes I share stories about my life. But what I am sharing is the transformation brought about through Christ within me. All that I am and all that I do should always point directly to Christ. I'm not saying I do a good job of it, honestly I am better at messing it up than I am of carrying it out. But even when I mess it up God has the power to shine through. So today as we gather to support this ministry that shares the hope we find in the Gospel of Christ let's pray that we can set ourselves aside and allow God to shine through our actions.
