But you spare all things, because they are yours,
O LORD and lover of souls,
for your imperishable spirit is in all things!

If God stopped thinking of us we would cease to exist. He is the Lover of our souls and allows us to choose to belong to Him or turn away from Him. We do a little of both daily and the importanat thing is to remember that we must pray always in our hearts and keep God close to us in our lives. He waits for us.
In the Gospel we see the story of Zaccheus, the man small in stature yet big on ideas. He wants to see Jesus so badly that he climbed a tree to be able to watch Jesus pass by. Fr. Peter who has spent years in Africa, told me ist is common for people there to sit in trees to watch the Mass or hear a talk. It takes an effort to climb a tree does it not? May we take an effort and spiritually "climb a tree' to get to a place where we can listen for the words of Jesus on our hearts.
