Do cloudy thoughts and fears dim the Light of Love that God has for you? Let's walk around like the children of Light that we are, shining as adopted sons and daughters of Christ. The other day, I got preoccupied with so many things, that the morning went by and I did't know it was lunchtime until my stomach brought me back to the present. I have two children who are 8 time zones apart from each other, one on the West coast and one in central Europe. You can bet that I am scrolling through my phone to find out where they are and where they've been. It is amazing that I can be a part of their trips but I have to temper myself so that I don't lose sight of my own day.
I wonder what Mary knew as she watched young Jesus play, or as He grew, I wonder how much she knew or if she could foresee anything. I do know she kept the Love Light of God very much alive in her own heart and I imagine she also was able to help out her neighbors and friends in need. I pray that we can keep the words of God that we hear today, through a song, or a scripture passage, or in prayer alive in our hearts.
