Isaiah 35:4
Say to the fearful of heart: Be strong, do not fear! Here is your God, he comes with vindication; With divine recompense he comes to save you.
Do you remember dial up internet? That awful sound followed by what felt like the longest wait in history. Then the agony of waiting for a website to load because it was full of pictures! Don't even think about watching video. I have never been a fan of waiting for things so it was pretty frustrating but we didn't know it could be better back then. Now I get antsy if a youtube video doesn't play the minute I hit the button! Oh the things we take for granted.
This Advent I am learning that God want's me to wait on him. There are multiple areas in my life right now where I clearly see God saying "just wait, it will all come together in my time". For me that is a terrifying thing to hear from God. But today in Isaiah I hear God reminding me again not to fear, He will be there no matter what. I simply have to wait. Be encouraged today. What ever you are worrying about know that God will meet you in the waiting.
