They tie up heavy burdens hard to carry
and lay them on people's shoulders,
but they will not lift a finger to move them.

I find it difficult to carry heavy and bulky items, so do not call on me when you need to move furniture or redecorate a room! Ha! I get out of alot of work by simply stating how I feel about lifting, but what about lifting up heavy burdens in prayer? This passage is more about "preaching but not practicing" our faith. Jesus asked us to give Him our burdens, to cast our burdens on Him, so He can shoulder them for us. Many of us place heavy burdens upon ourselves by not sharing those things that bother us, that concern us, those things we need help with. Is it because we may think others will think we are weak if we don't share our regrets and worries? Jesus wants us to turn to Him in times of need and by sharing our thoughts and worries in prayer, we can also pray the Holy Spirit will inspire us to seek out another's advice and prfessionla help when we need it.
