Luke 10:41-42
The Lord said to her in reply, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her."
In scripture when Jesus says a person's name twice, he is about to say something momentous. Jesus doesn't say, "Martha, you're working too hard." He gets her attention and tells her she is too anxious and worried. He is not mad as her. He loves her and wants her to know what is going to truly make her happy.
There is a song lyric: "Lord my serving You replaced me knowing You." Have you ever found yourself doing good work but losing sight of why you're doing it? Helping kids with homework, planning a church event... The works ends up being the end instead of the means to the end. A lot of us are overwhelmed with the do to list. The stuff we have to get done in order to serve the ones we love. I pray your time listening to Spirit FM is an escape from that, where you can just dwell in Christ's presence in the music and message.
Allow yourself to hear the voice of Jesus, repeating your name, calling you to sit & be with him.
