When was the last time you really organized your work space? As I look about mine, it has little notes on paper in different corners, and lots and lots of books and articles that I found useful and many have given me profound spiritual inspiration. It is a disorganized mess, yet I know exactly what is where. I wonder if, for some of us, our lives can be described this way. We have our errands and our to do lists, we have what inspires us, and entertains us nearby or at least accessible, yet we don't have it really well contained or organized. We change our minds and do what pleases us most.
As we head into the weekend, continuing to pray for those whose lives have been severely disorganized by Hurricane Michael, let's find time to reprioritize our day and look for ways to be sure we use the time we have to God's advantage. We can stop and reflect during our day, and thank God for all that we have and perhaps look for ways we can help someone in need. Let us "go with God" not on our own paths, so that we can indeed be unified in our common love for Christ, and not going on a whim of our own desires, perhaps scattering an opportunity to share that Christian love with others.
