The LORD regretted making human beings on the earth, and his heart was grieved. But Noah found favor with the Lord.
Do you ever wonder if what you're doing makes a difference? Do you think, "It's not enough. Why bother?"
We learn in today's first reading that yes; It absolutely matters. God saw wickedness everywhere, except with Noah's family. He spared the human race because of one family's goodness.
But what if you don't think you're helping the situation? What if you feel like you're the one who is constantly messing up. You're the one who is sinful. Well, good news. God wants to enter into that place that is lacking and fill you with his love. He doesn't run from your struggle. He wants to go deeper.
So whichever side you feel like you're on today - the sinner or the saint - remember, God is with you. He is just and faithful.
