Jesus said to them in reply, "Have faith in God.
Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,
'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,'
and does not doubt in his heart
but believes that what he says will happen,
it shall be done for him.
Mark 11:22-23
In this passage, the word "doubt" really stays with me. I do not consider myself to be a skeptic, but there are times when I face the uncertainty of whether or not I know how to make the best decisions. I have wondered why God doesn't answer a prayer intention, and wondered if there is some other way that I should pray, or ask. That wonder is really me doubting the will of God as I try to make my own path and do my will first instead of surrendering to God my life moments. I will spend time today offering up in prayer my doubtful moments and simply let God be as I too strive to remain in His presence.
