Romans 4:20-21

Brothers and sisters:

Abraham did not doubt God's promise in unbelief; rather, he was empowered by faith and gave glory to God and was fully convinced that what God had promised he was also able to do.

Doubt is a tough adversary. Throughout my life I have had doubt. Doubt that I can do it. Doubt that my friend will really come through for me. Doubt that my child will actually be ok. Many of those doubts throughout my life have been unfounded but many were realized. That track record kind of makes it hard not to doubt God sometimes. Some days we simply need the encouragement of those who came before us to remember that our God is always faithful. Our experiences in this life are fragile things. Don't allow on your own experience to dictate your faith. Let's learn how to lean on the Saints and the fathers of the Church to strengthen our faith.
