Merry Christmas! Being a bonus dad Is pretty amazing, getting to enjoy the Christmas season with young kids again. After your kids grow up I think it's easy to forget the excitement children have at Christmas time. It was pretty amazing watching Liam and Graham on Christmas eve, it was as if there was electricity in the air that was charging them up. Of course they were most excited about the presents they were going to get. But it made me think about how I tend to take for granted the gift that Christmas is really all about. The gift of our savior. At the end of mass on Christmas day our priest challenged us to share the Christ that we received on Christmas day with those around us. My challenge this Christmas season is to remember that Christmas didn't end on December 26th. It's my job to share this gift of Jesus all year round.
