I know I'm glad it's here. Not because I know the candidate I'm voting for will win, but because I am ready to move forward. There has been so much speculation over what will happen if this or that person wins. I am just ready for God to move and say, I'm here. I'm in control. Step aside. We know that is true. Our salvation, our help, our everything comes from him.
I think come tomorrow, we all need to do a little retrospection and see what these past several months have brought out in us. A little confession might do us all some good. Let's not think about what other people have done or said. Look in the mirror. Have you been kind with your words? Merciful? Have you prayed for your enemy? Have you misunderstood who your enemy really is? And most importantly, have you put more weight and trust in the person on the ballot than God? If you are feeling a little guilty right now, pick your head up. God remains the same, even if we lose our focus.
