Today the church celebrates Guardian Angels. I can't hear about angels and not think of the old Amy Grant song "Angels Watching Over Me". Take a moment to enjoy this terrible 80's music video!
It's hard to remember that we have an angel watching over us. But in today's Gospel passage Jesus is reminding us we are so special to God that He has assigned a member of the heavenly host to intercede on our behalf. I don't know about you but I have trouble enough asking a friend to pray for me, much less an angel! Today as we celebrate the angels who have been tasked with watching over us let's say a special prayer and ask them to seek the Father's face on our behalf.
