Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise,
and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,
and God chose the lowly and despised of the world,
those who count for nothing,
to reduce to nothing those who are something,

So who do you think you are? How do you see yourself in this verse? Foolish or wise, weak or strong, lowly or proud? In the eyes of our Loving God, we are all loved and wonderfully created. We are unique, grade A, beautiful, capable, delightful, enjoyable, fabulous, a gift, a gem, and this list goes on. I hope you can now see this verse to include that as we are foolishly wonderful, we are also strong because we can admit our weaknesses. We are nothing without God's love for us, perhaps we "count for nothing" to someone somewhere, but we are everything to our God. Let us be confident today knowing we are precious in the eyes of our Creator God, and that not one word that anyone says to us can take away the love God has for us.
