Mark 1:36-37
Simon and those who were with him pursued him and on finding him said, "Everyone is looking for you."
The most popular single request we ever receive on our prayer line is for physical healing. Unfortunately, dealing with disease, pain, and injury is common in our world. In the verses before these, it's clear that Jesus was gaining quite a reputation as a healer. Verse 33 says that, "the whole town" was lined up at his door seeking to be cleansed of illness. The people realized quickly that this man, whoever they thought he was, had a power that no one else had. In having their sickness removed, the healed became witnesses of the power of God. Christ, of course, offers us a something much more than relief from physical infirmity. He is the Great Healer who gave his life so that the whole world might be reconciled to God. We who have been and are being healed by him are now called to be witnesses to his power. Lord, "Everyone is looking for you" and for your healing - help us who have experienced your power point others to you.
