As time passes, it seems like our world becomes more and more cluttered. There are so many distractions that battle daily for our attention that it can be too easy to focus on earthly concerns over the things of God. We can become so consumed by the worldly that we can sometimes put our trust in them over God. Scripture reminds us to trust in God over these concerns and those who follow the ways of the world. We can be confident that trust in Him is never misplaced and that He will not lead us astray.
Question for Reflection:
In what ways am I putting my trust in worldly things and ideas rather than the things of God?
Lord, help me to identify those areas in my life where I am putting my trust in the wrong things.
