This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for friends. John 15:12-13
There is no greater love than God's love for us. His son, Jesus, gave his all for us. And only asked that we continue to share his love (and God's word) with others. As we look foward to another long holiday weekend, let's not forget those who laid down their lives for their country and those they loved. Keep them in your prayers. And remember Jesus's commandment to love one another as he loves us.
We can all help mend the division in our country by doing this. Don't let politcal views interfere with your relationships. Don't allow race or nationality to come between you and your brother. Make the first move to extend some love to those around you. You may be surprised at the amazing effect it has!
Lord, thank you for your unconditional love. Help me to share your love with others and be grateful for friendships made and friendships mended.
