Luke 1:45

Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.

Buying Christmas presents can be a risky task. Unless, you know exactly what someone wants there's always a danger that they will be disappointed. Some of the hardest people to buy for are the ones who seemingly 'have everything'. God fits that category more than any person on your list this Christmas. If you were going to get Him a gift, what would it be? Would you bring Him gold, frankincense, myrrh? These are all great choices but He really wants one thing from us above all else: our love. A key part of loving God is trusting He will do what He says He will. Mary is an excellent example of that in practice. She only believed God would do the seemingly impossible: allow to conceive a child by the Holy Spirit who will be both fully God and fully man; the Savior of the world. It's her trust in God's plan that Elizabeth recognizes in this verse. May we all strive for the kind of trust she had!
