Luke 4:42-43

At daybreak, Jesus left and went to a deserted place. The crowds went looking for him, and when they came to him, they tried to prevent him from leaving them. But he said to them, "To the other towns also I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God, because for this purpose I have been sent."

In our modern world, it seems more people than ever before are perpetually stretched thin. The technological advancements we've experienced have functioned to give us more time to work, rather than to rest. We can even feel a bit of guilt if we don't find ourselves busy most of the time. Jesus knew that humans have limits. In being born of a woman and living a human life, He chose to abide by the restrictions of a mortal existence. He experienced fatigue and could not be all things to all people, even if He desired to. If Jesus understood His limits as He walked the earth, we should also recognize ours. We also can't be all things to all people.
