1 John 3:2
Beloved, we are God's children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed. We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
Trust can be a tough thing to practice. It means giving someone the ability to disappoint and hurt you if that trust is breached. This can leave us feeling vulnerable at times but the rewards more than make up for the hardships. Choosing to trust God is also difficult to do but often for a different reason. It usually has to do with not seeing how events in our lives, especially the bad ones, fit into his plan. He will sometimes give us the mercy to see how the pieces 'fit' when the hardships are over but there are some events we'll never understand the significance of until we're united with Him in Heaven. There we'll see God as He is and the plan He's laid out for us will finally make complete sense. For now, we'll need to continue to practice trust. Lord help us to trust in you as all your saints did, that we celebrate today on the Feast of All Saints, so that we may join them in Heaven.
