Every Christian has struggled with a habitual sin at some point in their walk, those sins that you just can't seem to shake no matter how hard you try. Fighting the temptation to commit these can be a daunting task and we may not always succeed but these battles can give us a glimpse into the nature of sin and specifically how it enslaves. Falling to them can really feel like slavery as it seems we do so against our own will sometimes. Even though popular media may try to sell us on the idea that true freedom comes from being beholden to no one other than ourselves, we find that sin 'feels' a lot more like slavery than doing the will of God. This 'freedom' leaves us hollow and unfulfilled in the end. So, lets shake off that yoke of sin today and serve the only one who offers true freedom, Jesus Christ.
