Is your morning cup not giving you the jolt it used to? The most caffeine-packed coffee in the world might be just what you're looking for.
You know those super-hot hot sauces sitting ominously at the end of the condiment table in your local Tijuana Flats? Well, Black Insomnia is to caffeine what the hottest of those sauces is to hotness. It's not for the faint of heart. Seriously, do not drink this stuff if you're heart is at all sensitive to caffeine. Just to give you an idea of how much power this stuff packs, consider the following: a Red Bull's caffeine content is about 9.46 mg/fl.Oz and Black Insomnia contains approximately 58.5 mg/fl.Oz. Yup, that's more than six times the oomph!
You might be wondering who'd be interested in this particular variety of joe... besides the most obvious consumer base: crazy people and parents of newborns who need to remain somewhat coherent after running on zero sleep for what seems like an eternity. Well, as it turns out, the stuff is selling fairly well...
Retailing at $19 a pound, the company's online business sold three tons more than the other local shops in August, he said. By October, they had customers in 22 countries. And by March, they were listed on Amazon in the US. Now, the company says it sells five to six tons of coffee a month.

This stuff seems a little dangerous to me. I mean, do you know what brand Insomnia had to beat in order to be caffeine king? Death Wish. Yup, Black Insomnia has (supposedly) more caffeine than a brand of coffee called Death Wish. I should probably take the hint and avoid the stuff but I am curious what it tastes like. A spoonful wouldn't hurt... right?
