In Florida, we have to weather a lot of storms. Many of us have even had to hunker down during a hurricane a few times. Having grown up in Miami, the most intense weather event I've ever experienced is Hurricane Andrew. I remember the sound the wind made; it was like a thousand screeching cats. But as the storm raged hard outside, our home held strong. In the end, we only had a couple of broken windows and minor damage to contend with when it passed. I think the storms we encounter in life can be a lot like that. When going through them, they can be frightening and shake our resolve but in reality, we remain safe in God's arms. No matter what those times of turmoil bring, God's got us. His plan will prevail.
