1 John 3:7

Children, let no one deceive you. The person who acts in righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous.

It seems we are exposed to more opinion now than ever before. The social media age has fostered in us a need, almost an obligation, to share our thoughts publicly on any major world event or big news item. In doing so, we have become very good at 'speaking out' (at least online) against injustice. Raising awareness about a problem is the first step to solving it but sometimes we can find ourselves feeling so satisfied in talking about the issues and making sure others are as well that we can forget to actually work to fix them. The same is true in our spiritual lives. We as Christians can often get very good at talking about what needs to be changed in our own lives but fail to act on that knowledge. Talking about righteousness and goodness are right and good but the point is to actually live lives of goodness and righteousness. Lord, give us the grace to 'walk' our 'talk'.
