Irrevocable

By Martina Ver Pault
I have to admit, I regift. Ok, not everything but occasionally gift cards or a really nice something that I know I will never use...

“For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.”

Romans 11:29

I have to admit, I regift.  Ok, not everything but occasionally gift cards or a really nice something that I know I will never use.  I really appreciate gifts, it must be one of my love languages, but I want to see them used, not hoarded.   I wonder sometimes how God looks at us when He sees the gifts He has given us which go by the wayside.  We all know He wants us to use them.

With the gifts the Lord has given us, regifting would be a really awesome way to show the Lord we appreciate them.  For example, to regift the gift of music, you would be teaching someone else music.  Now that is truly appreciation of a gift.  But in recent days, I have seen more and more people giving up their gift of faith.  Not regifting just shoving it in a closet.  I know the Lord does not revoke His gifts and His call. We all know He needs us to be His hands and His feet, especially in these most trying times.  God loves you.

Will you make time to reflect on the gifts and call the Lord has sent you?

Dear Lord, help us to be grateful for the gifts and calls you have sent us that will empower us to Courageously Live the Gospel.
