People tend to listen to intelligent people. You often hear "the experts" invoked before statements uttered by newscasters, for example, and automatically some piece of information gains credibility in our minds. This isn't wrong. However, we can sometimes mistake intelligence for wisdom. Wisdom can reveal deeper truths that point us to its author, God. How do we become wise? Humility is key. Knowing that we don't "know it all" is the beginning. Humble people will be led by God because they know that their knowledge is limited and imperfect. Those who are considered very intelligent but who lack wisdom may have a tendency to trust themselves over what God may be trying to show them. Like King Solomon, let's seek to be wise above being simply smart. That may be the beginning of building a world more in God's image than in our own.
