John 6:40

For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him [on] the last day.

There's this pervasive misconception people have about God that's sometimes hard for them to shake. It stems from a warped view of who God is. Many of us sometimes see Him too much like an angry judge, rather than our loving Father. This can often lead to the view that He is some distant figure just waiting for us to fall short of absolute perfection. This is a lie. It's crucial to keep a simple truth about God always in mind: He is rooting for us. Like a proud dad on the bleachers watching his kid play ball, God joins us in our victories and grieves with us in our defeats. He is on your side and He loves you. Try to dwell in that comforting truth today.
