Luke 13:24
Strive to enter through the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough.
If you've ever been to Disney World, you know that there's something special about driving up to that big "Walt Disney World" sign. It's a wonderful indication of what's to come, especially at the end of a long trip. I'd venture to say that people who've never heard of Disney might be encouraged to head into the park just because of its beautiful entryway. It beckons fun-seekers. The road that runs underneath it is also wide enough to accommodate those heading in. As opposed to that drive down I-4, the Christian journey is no trip to the park. The journey and signposts the world provides along the way are often less than welcoming. However, the end of our walk brings us to a place infinitely more wonderful than any theme park. So, don't get discouraged today but hold on to God's promises when the road gets tough.
