Does this passage remind you of a certain web-slinging superhero? It's basically a version of, "with great power comes great responsibility", right? You can probably gather that this verse isn't really directed at Spiderman per se but at all of us. We may focus on this verse and apply it immediately to those who have money. This is not incorrect but let's look at this passage from a different angle. God not only bestows gifts of financial prosperity. He provides us with "much" in the form of our gifts and talents. The Lord may not have given you the ability to donate a million dollars to help build a pediatric cancer center at a hospital but he may have given you a heart for spending time with patients. Take some time today and think about how God has entrusted you with "much". How can you use the blessings He's given you to bless others?
