The beauty of the natural world is a powerful evangelist. Think of all the profoundly amazing things we get to witness every single day: flowers, birds, trees, sunsets, the night sky, the list goes on and on.
Acts 17:26-27
He made from one the whole human race to dwell on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the ordered seasons and the boundaries of their regions, so that people might seek God, even perhaps grope for him and find him, though indeed he is not far from any one of us.
The beauty of the natural world is a powerful evangelist. Think of all the profoundly amazing things we get to witness every single day: flowers, birds, trees, sunsets, the night sky, the list goes on and on. We are drawn to God's natural artwork because humans are naturally drawn to beauty. St. Paul tells the Greeks here that one of the reasons these things exist is so that people might in some way be pointed to their source: the one true God. This desire for the beautiful is not only applicable to the natural world either. Great artwork and music, kindness, compassion, love, goodness; all these things are beautiful in their own way and can be great signposts to God for people who may not even be familiar with Christianity. So, create beauty today!
