All we need is LOVE

By Rob
Priorities are certainly important

One of the scribes, when he came forward and heard them disputing and saw how well he had answered them, asked him, "Which is the first of all the commandments?"  Mark 12:29

I'm a fairly organized person. I try to plan my days and the things which I'll try to get accomplished. Priorities are certainly important.  That way, if something near the bottom of my list doesn't get done, I don't feel so bad because it wasn't as important as the stuff I did take care of.  In a way, the scribe who asked Jesus this question must have been thinking similarly. He knew the burdensome commandments and was seeking which ONE he needed to obey all the time.  Jesus must have known this and gave him an answer that summed up all the rules into just a couple of simple ones.

When we give our total love and dedication to God we find that everything else falls easily into place. And by loving those around us as we would want to be loved we develop stronger relationships which not only with them but with God as well. As we enter into the 2nd half of this Lenten season, let's reflect on our relationship with Him.

Questions for reflection:

Are we giving God top priority in our life? How are we treating those around us? Do we need to mend a relationship? Is there a little more I can give?

Lord, show me ways to express my love for you better, through my thoughts, words and actions with those around me.
