In this country, we have the freedom to worship our Lord as we please. This is such a blessing. Even so, living out your faith boldly can often put you at odds with the larger culture. Societal forces will often treat evil as good and good as evil. This means we should not be surprised when we find ourselves swimming against the cultural flow. This can be disheartening, especially when evil too often seems to be celebrating victory. But evil does not have the final say, God does. His is the ultimate victory that we share in. So take heart and be courageous because God is on your side!
Question for Reflection
How can I shine Christ's light in our culture?
Lord, help me to not become discouraged in following you, knowing that yours is the ultimate victory.
