While the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) movement has gained ground and attracted many Catholics in the Archdiocese of Harare and the country at large, its way of operation remains perplexing to many ‘traditional’ Catholics.’ Is it a church within the Church because of its Charismatic and Pentecostal way of worship?In a bid to enlighten more on this, one of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal priests, Fr Regis Chikuni has said that the CCR “is not a church within the Church but only an ecclesial movement,” Fr. (Vatican Radio) Here in Rome a meeting organized by the US Embassy to the Holy See in conjunction with the US Conference of Catholic Bishops focused on maritime trafficking and modern slavery at sea.The July meeting shone the spotlight on the global scourge that violates the human dignity of laborers at all stages of the seafood supply chain and aquaculture industries.
