When I was young, I saw the movie Song of Bernadette. It made a huge impact on me and ever since then, I have had a special devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes. Just after my husband died eight years ago, I was blessed to be able to go on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, which was number one on my lifelong dream list. And since Lourdes is known for miraculous healings, I brought a couple name of people who I knew needed deep healing. In Lourdes there are special baths with water that flows from the springs. As I was lowered into the bath by those precious nuns and caught sight of the statue of Our Lady, I received a message in my heart. "You can be part of the healing." I understood Our Lady to tell me that I could play a part in the healing by praying for these people every day.
I highly recommend the movie, and if ever possible, visiting Lourdes. There are virtual pilgrimages as well. But mostly, I recommend becoming part of the healing through prayer. It is not good for man to be alone. We can help bring healing to each other.

Lord, we trust in Your mercy and love—through the intercession of Your most beloved mother under the auspices of Our Lady of Lourdes, we beg You to heal and strengthen us so we may Courageously live Your Gospel.

Tina VerPault was born and raised in Boston. Tina is one of the youngest of 14 children. She is blessed with 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren whom she loves dearly.
