A question we often ask is: "What time is it?" Think how often you check your watch. At the end of the Gospel today, Jesus tells us, "Time changes; empires disappear...There will be wars, great earthquakes, plagues, famines..." Maybe PANDEMIC wasn't in the list, but our experience surely makes us wonder if the "end times" aren't coming Now!
As Jesus tells us of the end-time harvest, the separation of good and bad, godly and ungodly, we can see the importance of day to day following of Jesus.
Today, not tomorrow, is the time we have. Use it! God is in the present moment; but it is not just about me; I'm not the Focus. God must be our Focus. May the Kingdom come through us.
What time do you have? Give your time to help others---volunteer, share... We need to work to change the world for the better---be involved in politics as responsible citizens (I tease that to Lobby is my Hobby--tell your elected officials what you think--they represent you and need to know what you think.) Work to change injustice, to bring peace/justice to all people. Be prophetic--Live the Gospel.
How do you use your time? What is your focus? When you pray are you in the present moment?
Jesus, help me use well the time I have--to pray and show Your love to others with care and kindness.
