1 John 5:12
Whoever possesses the Son has life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life.
Some people just have a glow about them. You've seen them on occasion. They just have a different "it" going for them. Maybe they walk with an air of confidence. Sometimes it's not always what they say but how they say it. It might be that they look you in the eye when they talk, and the look isn't one of authority but one of compassion and gratitude. There's usually wisdom in their speech and an air of contemplative thought. It's as if they are a kind of superhero but without a cape and costume. You connect with them in a different way.
Everyone I know that has that quality is a strong Christian. That's not to say that others that have that same quality aren't Christians, but there is a spiritual component in their life. I've been on retreats and worked closely with people that exude these traits, and have often thought, "I'd like what they have." I already know the answer….it's Jesus. It's not just knowing of Jesus, but experiencing him, living a life in Christ, not living for the world and society, but living for a greater good. It's what we all strive for, yet we sometimes fall short. Christ is alive today; he's in all of us. God gave us his only Son to wake the dead. We can sometimes be the walking dead…zombies if you will. In this new year, rekindle that fire of the Holy Spirit, get life back into your soul, and live a life in Christ today!
