Have you ever been told a story and because it is so difficult to believe or comprehend, that you remain skeptical? It's human nature to doubt. We see this demonstrated in this weekend's gospel. We find Thomas, questioning his friends if they really saw Jesus. Despite living with Jesus and seeing Jesus perform miracles, he still doubts.
Faith is a powerful thing. To have faith, you must let go of what is logical and what you know to be true by your experiences, and put your trust in someone or something that is beyond your control. As humans, we sometimes let people down. Friends and family put their trust in you, their faith in you to do something, but you fall short. You let them down. So we have trouble unless we really know the people. Same with Jesus. Do you really believe in Jesus? Do you really trust him? It takes a great deal of courage to let go and let someone control your life, especially when you can't see them. That's why it's vital in our faith journey, to have a personal relationship with him.

Am I willing to let go and put your faith in Jesus?
Jesus give me the wisdom to know you and the courage to accept what is difficult to comprehend!
