To Bring About Healing

By Deacon Drew Woodke
Throughout the Gospels, we hear stories of Jesus healing people...

Mt 9:28b-30a

"Do you believe that I can do this?" "Yes, Lord," they said to him. Then he touched their eyes and said, "Let it be done for you according to your faith." And their eyes were opened.

Throughout the Gospels, we hear stories of Jesus healing people. In today's Gospel from Matthew, Jesus is approached by two blind men. Seeking to gain sight. Now up to this point in the Gospel, Jesus has been healing quite a bit of people, and why is he doing this? Because only those without physical deformities can worship in the temple. These physical healings are and outward sign of what Jesus desires to do inside of each and every one of us. To bring about healing.

When is the last you asked the Lord to heal you? And not just from a physical standpoint, but interiorly, spiritually, or emotionally. Are there things from your past that haunt you? Or past actions that you have done that you're ashamed of? The Lord wants to meet you there, and heal you. You just have to have faith.
