Hosea 14:10
"Straight are the paths of the Lord, the just walk in them, but sinners stumble in them."
As I turn twenty-nine today, I can't help but reflect on my youth. I remember my dad, taking me out front, and teaching me how to ride a bike for the first time. He would begin by balancing me, running alongside, and finally letting go. The first few times he let go, I fell right away. After the fifth time, he looked at me and said, "Trust me, I am with you even if I let you go." The feeling of success when I didn't fall again, was the best feeling in the world.
Hosea tells us that the Lords paths are straight for the just, but sinners will stumble. Everyone of us knows what it's like to stumble, at the same time, we also know what it's like to succeed. Our sins make us stray from the path of the Lord, but he is constantly drawing us back and saying, "Trust me, I am with you even if I let you go." Remember to go to reconciliation this Lent. Allow the Lord to help you up and get back on that bike. Know what it's like to feel free once again, which is the just path, the Lord's path.

Less than a month ago, I was called to orders for our Diocese. When I got the letter from Bishop Parkes, all I could think of were the people of the Diocese of St Petersburg.
