"Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God." - 1 John 4:7
In today's First Reading, John reminds us of the importance of loving one another. God imparts to us His relentless and unfailing love and calls us to spread that same love to other people.
One person who demonstrates this is Saint John Neumann, the first American male to become a Catholic saint. St. John Neumann had a zeal for the American missions and spent time ministering to immigrants, building churches, and creating a community for people to see and hear about Christ. St. John Neumann's goal in life was to help lead others to God's deep and personal love. He recognized how great our God is and went out proclaiming the Gospel so we could experience God's love. As the Christmas season comes to an end, let us take time to reflect on how we can continue to courageously spread the joy of Christ to others, so they may know God's love.
How is the Lord calling me to encounter His Love today?
Lord, come and let Your love be known to everyone I encounter.
