Sharing the Celebration

By Madison Marsh
In today's readings, we read the response of Jesus when He confronts a weeping...

"Jesus said to her, 'Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, 'I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" - John 20:17

In today's readings, we read the response of Jesus when He confronts a weeping Mary Magdalene outside of the tomb after His resurrection. Jesus tells Mary to go out and to spread the news of Jesus' return to God.

Today is Tuesday in the Octave of Easter and we are currently in a season of celebration. Easter is a reminder to see and remember Christ's victory, and this always brings me joy. If this season calls us to be joyful, why wouldn't we want to spread that joy to other people? This is a great time to share about Jesus and what He did for us to people who might not know about Him, so they can rejoice in having a Savior who can take away the sins of the world.

Who is the Lord wanting me to share the Gospel with today?

Lord, as I am in this season of rejoicing, help me to go out and share this joy with others, so they can find joy in You.
