Acts 3:19
"Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away, and that the Lord may grant you times of refreshment."
Think of a childhood experience, when it was extremely hot outside. As your mom or dad call your name, you see that they are holding a nice, cold drink. You see the condensation running down the side of it. As you take it out of there hands, just before you thank them, you begin chugging the drink. As the drink begins to slide down your throat, you get this refreshing feeling within you. You wish you could hold onto that feeling forever, because it was so soothing. The truth is, you can hold onto that refreshing feeling forever.
During this epidemic, I urge each of us, me included, to repent. To take the time to journal, sing praise and worship, enter into the silence of the day, and to allow God to refresh our lives. Even during this time of sorrow, pain, hurt, or lose, the Lord God is trying to refresh us. He so desires to take our minds off the stress, anxiety, and fear we may have. Often times I can hear him tell me, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will refresh you."

Did you know...
As I continue to prepare for Diaconate Ordination, I am easily distracted with all that is going on in our world right now. Yet, I hear the Lord telling me, "Slow down, come to me, and let me take care of you." In the midst of all the chaos, God still finds the time to prepare me for his ministry.
